Chills X3

November 19, 2008

Went running last night just as the cold front moved in. It was one of those runs that was tough, but I felt better afterward. The cold (really cold, Mr. JogAmerica :) ) took some getting used to, but the game of chicken with the cars was even worse.

I spent a good bit of the running running into ditches and ducking behind mailboxes. Good times.

But despite the sideways running I kept a pretty decent pace. I’m really looking forward to Saturday’s Turkey Trot. I’m thinking a sub-25 should be no problem.

As for the second set of chills, The Shield’s penultimate episode was epic in scope. As soon as it was over I was on the phone with my best friend. We’re stoked about watching it together next week.

On a really geeky note… I finally caught the full trailer for the new Star Trek movie. Cannot wait to see this. It’s been a long while since a good Star Trek movie or series, so this’ll be pretty awesome.

Finally, four days until the 24 TV movie. Not that I’m counting. Finally, finally, I didn’t realize so many vegetarians read my blog! I’m having vegetarian chili for lunch today. Is it 11:30 yet?

  1. I hate playing chicken with cars!!! People are so inconsiderate of runners these days!!

  2. you eat lunch early.

  3. Good luck on your run this weekend!

  4. Don’t think I could go as far as call myself a vegetarian but I have really cut back on the amount of meet that I eat on a regular bases.

I never even knew they were making another star trek, I’ll have to check into it.

    cheers.

  5. I like to think playing frogger with inconsiderate motorists somehow strengthens some neglected ligaments in my legs & sharpens my agility. I get to enhance my lung capacity too while I scream at them while they disappear off in the distance.

    I like mrs. fitnessgeek.

  6. * Define “really cold”. I’m a quantitative guy.

    * I, too, am a vegetarian, although it took about 43 years for me to figure that out.

    * The big problem with playing “Frogger” with cars, as Joy says, is that you don’t get that many new lives. Be alert! (The world needs more lerts.)
